Steve Hilgemann, the CEO and Founder of Hire Green, completed a 23 year career in the United States Marine Corps serving as both an Enlisted Marine and a Commissioned Officer. His experience covers a broad range from a Master EOD technician and Joint Service instructor to three tours on recruiting duty where he was responsible to find, screen and prepare candidates for the rigors of Officer Candidates School. His thorough knowledge of recruiting practices; metrics and diversity recruiting garnered him the assignment as the National Trainer for Officer Programs. As the National Trainer and School Operations Officer, he revised the manuals and guidelines for the recruiting command. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command has been the most successful recruiting organization in the country having achieved goals for more than 100 months in a row.
After completing his career in the military, Steve joined the Nation’s largest military-based recruiting company—Orion International. There he was responsible for negotiating a $2.8 million, 2 year exclusive agreement with one of the world’s largest gold and copper companies. At Orion his focus was company first recruiting, providing the highest level of service to the client companies and developing hiring solutions that netted results.
